Arrive at Sapporo Chitose Airport and use your rail pass to travel to Sapporo City. It takes around 30 minutes to travel from New Chitose Airport to Sapporo city and there are frequent trains. Stay 2 nights at Sapporo Gracery Hotel.

Sapporo – Lake Toya
Today, transfer to Lake Toya by courtesy shuttle bus. Spend 2 nights in a Japanese style room at Kohantei in Lake Toya. Dinner and breakfast is included.

Free at leisure in the Lake Toya area. Lake Toya is part of the Shikotsu-Toya National Park. Around this area you can enjoy fishing, hiking and many other outdoor activities. Lake Toya hot spring, which stretches out along the lake, is one of the best spa resorts in Hokkaido.

Lake Toya – Kushiro
Transfer by JR train to Lake Toya hot spring, which stretches out along the lake, is one of the best spa resorts in Hokkaido. Spend 2 nights at Kushiro Prince Hotel.

Kushiro
Today join a coach tour of Kushiro. The area of Kushiro plays a leading role in the politics, economics and culture of eastern Hokkaido. Please be advised that this is a Japanese guided tour only. Visit Japanese Crain Park, Kushiro Marsh Observatory and toride Norokko Train.

Transfer by JR train to Kawayu Onsen. Spend 2 nights in a Japanese style room, including dinner and breakfast

Transfer by JR train and local bus to Utoro. Spend 2 nights at Shiretoko Prince Hotel. Dinner and breakfast is included.

Utoro – Sounkyu
Transfer by bus and train to Sounkyo Gorge. Situated at the foot of Mt. Kurodake, the giant gorge, bordered by 100m high cliffs stretches for 24km and forms the centre of Daisetsuzan National Park. This area boasts magnificent scenery. Spend 1 night in a Japanese style room at Choyotei. Dinner and breakfast is included.

Transfer by bus and train to Sapporo via Furano. Spend 1 night at Hotel Gracery Sapporo.
