Lake Kawaguchi
One of the five lakes of the Fuji Area. You can find delicious Houtou noodles and Yoshida Udon in the area for a delicous and healthy lunch!
Mt. Kachi Kachi Ropeway
Mt. Kachi Kachi Ropeway (カチカチロープウェイ) is located next to Lake Kawaguchiko, and it runs to the summit of Mt Tenjo. From the top, an amazing view of Mt Fuji, Lake Kawaguchiko and the surrounding area can be seen. The top of the mountain has a giant swing that you can ride for a fee, that is, if you aren't afraid of hieghts! Learn about the legend of Kachi Kachi mountain and the heroic rabbit and sneaky tanuki of the mountain and how the mountain got its very interesting name!
Oshino Hakkai
Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海) is a traditional Japanese village set near the Fuji Five Lake area. The village consist of 8 ponds that are formed from the spring water from the snow melt of Mt Fuji. The ponds are a deep blue that is clear to the very bottom. The yellow, blue, and green fish that swim in the deep ponds seem like they are flying since the water is so clear. This is certainly a must-see!
Mori no Naka Aquarium
An aquarium in the mountains? How silly, you may think. But this aquarium is unique in that it displays the various fish native to the region's lakes and rivers. While small, the aquarium is rich in knowledge and is a great stop for those travelling with younger children.
Chureito Pagoda
Chureito Pagoda (忠霊塔) is part of the Arakurayama Sengen Shrine in Fujiyoshida City, and the most popular photo spot of Mt Fuji. The famous view of Mt Fuji, the five storied red pagoda and cherry blossoms can be seen in early to mid-April usually.
Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja
Fujiyoshida Sengen Shrine or officially called Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja (北口本宮冨士浅間神社) is a Shinto shrine located the north side of Mt Fuji between Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka. The picturesque shrine is surrounded by rich nature.
Narusawa Ice Cave
Narusawa Ice Cave (鳴沢氷穴) is a 153m lave cave located in the Aokigahara Forest. Visitors can walk through inside the cave, and there are ice pillars and ice wall that can be seen all year round.
Mt. Fuji 5th Station (Mt. Fuji Half-way point)
At 2,300m above sea level, 5th Station is one of the four trails you can take to get to the summit of Mt. Fuji. You’re able to get a spectacular view of the mountain from here. The best part is you don’t have to climb to enjoy the view!
