A very successful tour

Hello Clement, The trip was a very successful one.! The people we went with were an elderly group, which a few of them could not do some of the activities, but we did point this out, from the very start, that there was a certain level of fitness required and there was a lot of walking involved. Personally, I was not a lover of Japanese food, myself, but the group were willing to give it ‘a go”. The fruit was Excellent!!! The apples were so big and juicy!! The guide we had, Ms Kunie Annen , is a absolutely fantastic person, with lots of energy and our clients really bonded with her.. If I would recommend anything with this tour, I would recommend that whether you could introduce more Buffet meals. We went to a Buffet luncheon in Kyoto, which was very good and I know the group did appreciate the variety of food they could have. The accommodation in Kyoto, The Kyoto Tower Annex, was a little disappointing, especially when we were use to staying at the other Properties, but I think we had to select this Hotel, due to a currency surcharge and we didn’t want our Clients parting out the extra dollars to stay at the alternate Accommodation, which in hindsight, would have been a lot better, BUT we learn… Japan is just a beautiful looking Country with all its forests and scenery, whilst on the trains, was excellent viewing.. The people show respect and there is not a lot of rubbish bins around to put your Rubbish, which I couldn’t believe how clean the streets were… It was a real education for me to go to Hiroshima and visit the Museum and see the destruction of what effects it had.. I was surprised how little English was spoken in Japan, but this made it interesting in trying to communicate with the people.. Hopefully, we can be known as the Travel Agency in Ballarat , for people to book their Japanese holidays and we never know, whether we can look at taking another tour Group to Japan in the future with JTB. Thanking you.. Kindest Regards Hayden

All perfect except for cloud over Mt Fuji !

Hi Koyomi, Just a note to thank you for arranging our holiday, it all went perfectly except for the cloud over Mt Fuji. To compensate we had a perfect view of it on the plane back to Tokyo. We enjoyed it all very much, the organisation was amazing, and the guides both interesting and knowledgeable. Thank you, Stephen Jeffery

Antonia is Incredible

To whomever it may concern, Just wanted to pass on some feedback about one of your consultants from the Melbourne Office. Antonia Watson. She has been so incredibly helpful to me and to my clients. I’ve not yet had the chance to experience Japan for myself so to have somebody as knowledgeable and helpful as Antonia is, is incredible. She has been able to give me so much information and insider tips about different parts of Japan, that I’ve been able to pass on to my customers. Since I first spoke with her about Japan, I have had some amazing successes talking to customers of Flight Centre about travelling to Japan whereas before I had spoken with Antonia, I definitely struggled with selling and talking about Japan. I have another three customers interested in japan travel now and I will definitely be emailing Antonia for her help when these traveler’s have an itinerary planned. Please thank her for me. I will always highly recommend JTB whenever I have customers and even personal friends wanting to visit Japan. She is definitely a great asset to the JTB team Kind regards Taylor

They absolutely loved Japan

Hi Kareem, Clients absolutely LOVED Japan. They had a brilliant time and loved the rail pass. They did meet the sumo tour but they just had to leave Osaka early that’s all. But that wasn’t an issue. The only things that they pointed out, was that the rail pass- it wasn’t very clear as to which trains were included and which were not. The info booklet needs to be clearer with this information and also approximate times to and from the main destinations would have been good as a guide. A more detailed map would have also been good to send through with the documents so clients can have a better grasp on the area prior to departure. These clients also wanted to climb Mt Fuji and you had advised us that its something that you cannot pre book for here and they need to enquire from there. So once they arrived into Tokyo they enquired about it and they were told that all the busses to get there were booked. Do you know just for future reference if there is any way we can pre book these? Even if the clients do it on line? They were aware it was coming to the end of the season to climb it but if they had known about booking the busses beforehand, they would have been happy to do that and wait and see what the weather was doing. Any feedback on this would be great! Looks like Japan is the place to be! Lots of enquiries into our office this year. More so than any other year!  Look forward to hearing back from you. Kind regards, Matina

Pretty overwhelming!

Hi Chris, Thank you so so so much for your help with this. The customers were absolutely amazed that we had put together something so thorough so efficiently and I really appreciate your help with that! They do have a few modifications which I was hoping you could assist with (as listed below): • They want to spend only 1 night in Kagoshima now and add 1 night in Tokyo to compensate for that. o Please leave Tokyo accomm as it is (they would like to spend their extra night there in a Capsule hotel which I will organise) o Please modify the itinerary by pushing everything 1 day back to compensate for this extra day in Tokyo (sorry!!!) • Pls add in Tsukiji Outer Fish market & Sushi Workshop (p 29 of brochure) Other than that, they are extremely happy with what you’ve put together. I found this one pretty overwhelming during my first consultation because I didn’t know much about Japan but you’ve made it so easy for me so thank you so so so much! :) Thank you, Emily

Loved all accommodation and activities!

Hi ladies, I just got a bit of feedback from these customers. They had an absolutely fantastic time! Loved all accommodation and activities booked so thank you so much for helping me with this. Just something they said about the distance between accommodation and bullet train in Tokyo, it said 3 minutes but they said it took a lot longer. Kind Regards, Katrina

Thanks for all your help.

Hi Koyomi, I’m back from my mid-year trip to Japan. It went fast but it full of a lot of fun and experiences. I was very familiar with the areas and trains now so I felt right at home. I just wanted to say thank you once again for all your help. The One Piece show was fantastic yet again and who knows I may end up going again next year if they do it again. Thanks again, Alex

Wonderful Nakasendo Walk Tour

Hi Koyomi, I wanted to thank you very much for organising our trip to Japan. We had the most wonderful experience. The Nakasendo Walk was very special and we had an excellent guide and lively and friendly group to share the experience. Lucky us! Our trip to Uji with Sunrise Tours was a highlight; again a lovely knowledgeable guide and a restful experience compared to the busyness of Kyoto. We have many happy memories and much fondness for our Japan trip. With best wishes Di & Freya

JTB did a great job

Hi Emma Thanks. We just got back this morning after 9 hour Jetstar delayed flight. At least they let us know in advance so we had an extra half day in Tokyo. We did have an amazing holiday thanks to an exceptional itinerary. Kamikochi, with its pristine alpine setting, was a highlight as was the walk along the Nakasendo Way from Magome to Tsumago and I cannot recommend these places highly enough for anyone looking for an authentic Japanese nature and cultural experience. You and JBT did a great job with the choice of accommodation in the smaller towns which enabled us to experience the full Japanese Ryokan and Onsen experience. The set dinners provided at the Ryokans in Hakone and Kamikochi were excellent and the standard of accommodation was very high quality. My favourite hotel of all was the Kisoji in Nagiso which is actually a large resort with extensive public hot spring baths and most welcome after a long day’s walk. The large hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto were acceptable and reasonably located but I would not necessarily recommend them to anyone as they are large and impersonal with very small rooms. The Kyoto night tour and Nara tour were excellent I am happy to provide further feedback. Thanks again for organising this Japanese experience for us. Regards, Boris

Enormous impression for Japan and JTB

Hi Tony Trust all OK – and I’m not chasing you for membership or a conference registration (although that would be nice) I’m actually writing with a JTB staff comment – my eldest daughter Sacha was in your office earlier today collecting some rail passes (she and her partner are having a Japan holiday in mid-August) – and she actually rang me after she’d left the office wondering if I knew anyone at JTB so I could pass on a message. Why? Because she was so impressed with the politeness and overall service received she felt it should be commended. Your lady at reception was overflowing with polite Japanese hospitality and exceptional service – it made an enormous impression on my daughter for both Japan and of course JTB… so if you could please congratulate your receptionist on my daughter’s behalf; it would be very much appreciated. All the best Tony, talk soon Cheers ian

Excellent Service from the First Meeting

To the manager of JTB office, Melbourne. Recently I attended your Melbourne branch to organise some travel for an upcoming trip to Japan. It was extremely short notice and the person I dealt with in your office was Ben. I conveyed the nature of my travel plan to Ben and after a discussion he informed me he would find suitable accommodation and travel advice and produce an itinerary that met my requirements. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Ben for his exceptional service, diligence and professionalism – he took the the time to hear about what I wanted to do, and within a extremely short period provide a perfect travel plan. As a first time traveller to the destination, and with very little time to do my own research, I provided a brief to Ben about what I wanted to do and the type of accommodation I was seeking and the type of travel I was doing. He delivered on all accounts. The choice of accommodation was spot on – well-located and suitably priced. Every hotel was functional and exactly met my needs. He organised a JR pass and provided step-by-step details about redemption within Japan and connection details for my intra-country travels. I would also like to extend my thanks to him for this meticulous attention to detail and suggestions on things to do and explore whilst leaving other travel options to myself on this ‘self-guided’ tour. Please pass on my thanks to Ben for his responsive, and excellent service from the first meeting to a follow-up email upon my return to Australia. Thanks Rob
